POEM expands into new areas

After launching two years ago, POEM (People of Earth Matter) continues to be a new and exciting business venture for Mandaree Enterprises. Our latest undertaking, POEM Design Co., uses cutting-edge equipment to create unique products for people and businesses. Here is a brief overview of the exciting projects in the works at POEM Design Co.

Custom Steel Signs

We’re expanding our line of POEM-made products to include custom steel signs. Using our high-powered laser, we’re creating an initial line of monogram signs that are perfect gifts for weddings or anniversaries. We’re also planning to offer patriotic signs and other themed items. Look for our signs on Amazon over the coming weeks. 3D Technology

POEM has recently purchased two state-of-the-art 3D scanners that will put us at the forefront of 3D design capabilities. The first, a hand-held scanner, allows us to travel off-site and take 3D scans of any number of objects, which we can then recreate as 3D design files for use on a 3D printer and other production equipment. The second, a large booth scanner, produces full-size scans of people or objects and recreates them as 3D files.

Once we have the 3D files, we can create and sell 3D objects using the equipment in our Minot production facility, or simply sell the files themselves to other creators around the world. The possibilities—and our business opportunities—are endless.

The POEM facility in Minot contains a variety of state-of-the-art equipment for working with wood, steel, glass and a variety of other materials. Soon, we’re going to open our shop to the local community by offering classes that teach participants how to make unique craft items using our production equipment—anything from holiday decorations to children’s toys. This program is a great way for us to build lasting connections with the Minot community.
